Students in Grade 5 and below may enter school upon their arrival in Ukarumpa. Students in Grades 6-8 may start at the beginning of any quarter, and students in Grades 9-12 may start at the beginning of any semester.
Other Applicants
For all other applicants, UIS holds Open Application periods twice per year.
SPECIAL NOTICE for the 1 SEPTEMBER to 1 OCTOBER 2024 APPLICATION WINDOW: The UISPC Preschool classes are both at maximum capacity and cannot accept any additional students. For this reason, UISPC will not be accepting applications for preschool during this Open Application Window. Please check back with UISPC in March 2025 if you are interested in enrolling a preschooler.
To be considered for July enrollment (the start of our school year), applications must be submitted between 1 March and 1 April.
To be considered for January enrollment (the mid-point of our school year) applications must be submitted between 1 September and 1 October.
No applications will be accepted outside of these Open Application periods, and applications will not be considered unless the packet is complete, the appropriate application fee has been paid, and all requested documentation has been submitted within the Application period.
If class space is available in the class an applicant qualifies for, he or she will be scheduled to sit for placement testing and English language testing. The Enrolment committee will review results of these assessments before making enrolment decisions according to the Enrolment Policies. You will then be contacted with the Enrolment Committee’s decision.
As an international school, we love our multicultural community! However, because our instruction and curriculum is in English, admission requires an appropriate proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing.
Parents of enrolled students must be able to read, understand, and respond to communications in English.
“When we considered the mission field, being able to send our children to a credible school nearby so that they could continue to live at home while we served overseas was a high priority for us. UIS allowed us to use our skills in other jobs while raising our family overseas.”
